Anthropic's Claude Platform release notes say organization admins can now disable web fetch entirely from the Capabilities page of the Claude Console. With web fetch off, a Messages API request using the web fetch tool fails with a 400 error, and in Claude Managed Agents sessions the web_fetch call returns an error result to the agent instead.
