A popup began appearing to Muse users on Amazon starting Sunday, stating that continued access by an unauthorized AI agent violates Amazon's Conditions of Use. GeekWire reported Meta didn't notify Amazon that Muse would access its store. An Amazon spokesperson said third-party apps making purchases on behalf of customers should operate openly and respect service providers' decisions on participation, and said Amazon had requested Meta remove Amazon from the experience. Amazon also raised privacy and security concerns, including that Muse doesn't identify itself while browsing and may capture customer credentials.
