A federal jury in the US District Court for the Southern District of California ruled Friday that Apple's Taptic Engine, used in iPhones and Apple Watches, infringed two Taction Technology patents on vibration-based tactile transducers. Taction sued in 2021; the case was dismissed in 2023 but revived by the Federal Circuit.
