At the Open Compute Project Global Summit, Intel unveiled the GPU D-series, previously codenamed Crescent Island, with up to 480GB of LPDDR5X memory, surpassing Nvidia's Blackwell Ultra B300 (288GB of HBM3e) in memory capacity. Intel says one card can support LLMs up to 300 billion parameters, and an eight-GPU system can handle models exceeding one trillion parameters.
