Google Cloud announced the Gemini agent at its Gemini at Work event on October 8, 2026, available through the Gemini Enterprise app in private preview to enterprise customers. The agent works inside Workspace apps like Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Calendar, and connects to Microsoft 365, Slack and other business systems, picking the best AI model for each task, currently Google's Gemini models and Anthropic's Claude, with more to come.
