Cloudflare announced Forge, an open source, pluggable code generation pipeline for producing SDKs, CLIs, docs and libraries from an API spec. It already generates output for Cloudflare's own cf CLI and will power Cloudflare's API docs and SDKs over the coming months; it runs in CI on each team's API repos, linting changes and generating preview builds of CLI, docs and SDKs. It can also generate other outputs like Cap'n Web bindings, TanStack Query bindings, Zod or Valibot schemas, and MCP servers from an OpenAPI spec.Cloudflareは、API仕様からSDK、CLI、ドキュメント、ライブラリなどを生成できるオープンソースのプラガブルな生成パイプライン「Forge」を発表した。すでに自社のcf CLIの生成に使われており、今後数か月でCloudflareのAPIドキュメントやSDKの生成にも使われる予定。ForgeはCIで各チームのAPIリポジトリ上で動作し、変更内容をリントしてCLI・ドキュメント・SDKのプレビュービルドを生成する。またOpenAPI仕様からCap'n Webバインディング、TanStack Queryバインディング、Zod/Valibotスキーマ、MCPサーバーなども生成できる。

Cloudflare says it built Forge after hosted generator products failed to scale across its API's 3,500+ operations and multiple languages, with some vendors shutting down entirely.
