Meta, Walmart, Stripe and Sierra, the startup led by OpenAI chairman Bret Taylor, are publishing an open standard called the Personal Agent Protocol to govern how AI agents interact with businesses online. Taylor said it will help authenticate agents, give companies visibility into what agents do on their sites, and let businesses distinguish real people from bots.
